This super special offering from Bella Vista, Chiapas, Mexico is from the Women's Group of Bella Vista! My team and I were lucky enough to visit the farms and meet the producers of Bella Vista. These women were incredible - running their farms in addition to taking care of their families, all while producing some of the most beautiful coffees. Grown between 1550-1650 MASL, with tasting notes of clementine juice, milk chocolate, and cherry pie. Roasted in Los Angeles by a woman of color roaster, packaged in 10 ounce bags.
Bella Vista is a small municipality in the heart of the Chiapas Sierra, where Rosalba Cifuentes - founder of Mayan Harvest - was born. Determined to improve the living conditions of coffee farmers in her home town, Rosalba founded Mayan Harvest Coffee in 2017 to process, export and import coffee. Farming coffee is a tradition in their community, and holds a sense of pride - their connection to the market is the main means for economic prosperity. With Rosalba's help, the Women's Group of Bella Vista hand select the coffee cherry beans, harvest, dry, mill, process, bag and export top quality green coffee to the world.
